It explores how media literacy, traditional journalistic standards, and technological innovations intersect to foster a resilient information environment. Drawing upon theories such as Uses and Gratifications and Media Dependency, the review examines scholarly works from 2011 to 2024, emphasizing the importance of media literacy education, responsible journalism, and policy integration in addressing misinformation, especially amidst challenges posed by AI-generated content.
